I have a very secret dream to publish a book on canine anatomy for artists - something more serious than "look, it's a pencil, now look here, it's a dog" stuff. This is somewhat a concept drawing of what should be there. Plus, I just like drawing skinned dogs, muahahaha
I like this a lot, pretty helpful. If you do make a book be sure to get some semitransparent pages to make overlays with skeletons and layers of muscle and such. If you do I will be sure to buy a copy. :]
I've seen it done in a human anatomy book, which I would have bought if I could have afforded it. D: I don't remember the title but if you like I can hunt it down again and find out who the publisher is for you.
Wonderful drawing. I so want to own that book if you make it. General books on animal anatomy just don't work well for artists. They often don't show the whole side of an animal, just the leg or foot muscles, which makes it bloody hard to use for drawing.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
